Basics

Well, if it's basic, I don't need to explain it, right?

Users

Information

In order to use the website fully, you will need to register. When you register at the main website, you can add stuff of your own, comment on other people's articles, downloads and even their profile. This section covers how to register, login and use the user-based stuff.

Register

To register, simply go to the registration page. Fill out the required information (bold) and press register. An activation e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address, so be sure to supply us with a valid one! If no activation e-mail arrives shortly, you should check your spam filter or request a new activation e-mail.

Activating

When you have received your activation e-mail, you can simply click the activation link in the e-mail or go to the activation page. If necessary, fill out the needed information and press activate.

Logging in

To login, simply follow the login page at the top of this website. Fill out your username and password and press login.

Lost password

You're fucked for now, haha

Profile page

To edit your profile, simply click your username at the top of this website or navigate to Community, My Profile. Here you can change your avatar, edit your information or change your password.

Searching other users

To search other users and view their profile, go to the users page, which can be found in Community, Users. Here you can search for users using up to ten keywords, seperated by a space. By moving your cursor over the listed users, you can see their current avatar. To view a profile, simply click the desired user.

Commenting

Comments are shown in a conversation like way. They are not shown in a top-to-bottom way, but a way that allows you to directly reply to other comments.

To view comments, go to the profile page of a user and scroll down. Comments made by users are shown with a red border, moderators with a green border and comments made by you with a black border. You can add a comment in two ways:

  • Reply to an excisting one, by clicking on the Reply icon in the top left of a comment.
  • Create a new comment, by scrolling all the way down

When you have written a comment, you can edit your comment by clicking on the Editicon in the top left of your comment. It is not possible to reply on your own comments.

You can only delete comments that are shown on your own profile page. You can do so by pressing the Deleteicon in the top left of the comment.

Moderators can also change, lock or delete comments. To report a comment to the moderators, press the icon and in the confirmation screen, press okay.

Banning

If you misbehave on Oblivion Source, your account can be subject for banning. The moderators of Oblivion Source will have every right to do so. You are approved to whine about it if you are banned, but it's not going to help.
